Taste/Texture: Watercress has a sweet taste at the beginning, but ends with a spicy horse radish kick. It has scalloped edges with a hollow, crisp stem. 

 

Health: Excellent source of vitamin K C, E, iron, and magnesium

 

Use: Can be a garnish for most dishes. It is usually raw when added to food. It is recommended to add it to a soup if you want to cook it. Watercress comes in a bunch, so you will receive a 2-3 plants.

  • Delivery day is Wednesday afternoon. Order by 11:59pm on Tuesday to guarantee that your greens will be delivered on Wednesday. There is a $3 fee for your greens to be delivered to your house. To ensure your greens stay fresh, please leave a cooler by the door if you will not be home. 

     

    Free pick up is available at our greenhouse (Wednesday's from 9am-5pm) or at the Waco Farmer's Market (Saturday's from 9am-1pm). Please text or call 254-644-3240 before your arrival, so that we can have your order ready.

  • Keep the roots attached until you are ready to use. It is most common to keep the greens in your fridge, but the best results take place when the greens are stored in a vase with water (change the water 2-3 times a week) or the roots are wrapped with a damp paper towel.

    Should stay fresh for 2-3 weeks.
